It wasn't clear to me when I read this line:

If you have tests in config file call: /usr/bin/generator or simply generator.

@ttomecek, please let me know if the line [1] can be corrected as following and solve this issue:

In the directory tests create a Makefile as below.

Mind to keep the generator line only if there are multiline Bash snippet tests in the tests/config.yaml file. The generator command will convert those multiline Bash snippet tests from the tests/config.yaml file into python tests and stores them in the generated.py file, which will be processed further by avocado.
