#98 Swag for Chemnitzer Linux-Tage 2019
Closed: Complete 5 years ago by bex. Opened 5 years ago by robert.

I would like to request swag for Chemnitzer Linux-Tage 2019, taking place at March 16th and 17th, 2019 in Chemnitz, Germany; it's estimated to have about 3000 visitors (like in the years before).

If the Fedora tablecloth is available for the event, we would like to use it – if not, we can also work without, given Chemnitzer Linux-Tage cheerfully provides us a white tablecloth anyway. The standup banners reach their EOL after 10+ years, but we would try to use them once again.

Aside of that, we're happily taking whatever swag is currently available like e.g. stickers, pins, pens, flyers, booklets, t-shirts.

In the last years @kmrstiko sent always a great package, mentioning @bex here as well, just to be safe. Shipping should likely happen to me, given @fab is non-EU (Switzerland).

If you get the table-cloth, please make sure to return it ASAP for https://pagure.io/mindshare/issue/92 - we will need it on Thursday after CLT. Thanks

PS Enjoy Chemnitz, I am not able to come this year.

+1 from me. Seems like a very reasonable request.

+1 from me
+1 from @nb in the meeting on 27 Feb 2019

This is approved for swag. Please send me your mailing address offline or open a shipping ticket in the pagure.io/fedora-budget repo

I've explicitly asked for the return shipping address in case the tablecloth is shipped.

I've sent you the shipping address offline a few minutes ago. Thank you!

@bex should @robert mail the tablecloth to you or @pviktori or to Slovakia directly (not sure if the PyCon SK organizers would be able to collect it, I'll ask)?

Swag has been requested to be shipped and the tablecloth is also being shipped. I've contacted @robert about how to return the tablecloth to @pviktori

Can we still use the Fedora logo with the legacy colors? I've read there's going to be a new design. Please provide a template to show on a TFT because the used banners are EOL, as @robert states.

@mattdm @duffy @bex will be the best people to answer that

The old 10+ years EOL standup banners have the same Fedora logo and/or some of the same Freedom/Features/Friends/First badges like at https://getfedora.org/. Given nobody objected so far since ticket opening and the event is starting in less than 6 days, I personally doubt that there is a real usage issue. The alternative is to simply show up with no booth decoration (or not at all).

The logo has not changed. We should refrain, as much as possible from printing new objects with the current logo, but it is still valid to use.

Swag and tablecloth arrived in time - thank you.

Return shipping of tablecloth happened today to address provided by @bex, tracking code/link is sent via e-mail to @bex and @pviktori. This unfortunately required (expensive) express option due to transportation time being otherwise 3+ working days.

If you paid out of pocket for the shipping, please open a ticket in fedora-budget for the reimbursement or include it with other expenses you file.

The project pays for almost no shipping in general, so I am sure we can absorb this.

Hi @robert have you prepared an event report?

I see that @fab wrote a shared report with you here: https://fabian-affolter.ch/blog/chemnitzer-linux-tage-2019/

Closing this ticket.
