Dear all,
we will be organizing a release party for F29 on University of Novi Sad.
Here is the link:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Release_Party_F29_Novi_Sad
There are also links for our previous events there. Sadly we missed one for F28. We don't have a set date for not but sometime during November is certain.
I would like to request around 100EUR from EMEA budget for this event. Based on our previous events this is enough to provide some basic catering.
Thank you in advance. Also a ping to @bex
Cheers, Nemanja
another ping to @fedorauser
@nmilosev can you add a few details here from your wiki page to make this easier?
Also, can you make $100 work? If so, we can do the fast track approval
@bex sure:
Full Name: Nemanja Milosevic FAS ID: nmilosev Event Date: during November, more towards the end, should know exact date soon Event Location: University of Novi Sad, Serbia Wiki Page: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Release_Party_F29_Novi_Sad Swags: have some that bex sent me, plan to produce more as per the Local Swag ticket unless we can get some more for the event (unlikely because of customs) Budget: can be $100 Target Audience: Students, Local Software Developers, Local Linux Users
Thanks!
Small update:
Date is set: December 1st at 12PM (noon). :)
Cheers Nemanja
I think this ticket meets the requirements +1

Another update, I talked with @bex about the whole swag situation and he agreed to try and ship some swag again.
On the F24 and F25 release parties we got packages from Kveta in Brno and they were really awesome. I would love if we could get something similar but I am afraid that these "larger" packages will get stuck in customs. Anyways the contents were as follows (approximately):

What is the expected attendance? I am thinking pens and stickers and buttons based on attendance. Is it a python heavy or .NET focused group? Do you have diversity awareness/female attendance?
We expect around 50 people at least. Both python and .Net communities are strong here, so cannot tell. I think python community is weaker so maybe we should push that. We had a lot of female attendees before but we are not actively pushing for diversity awareness yet.
Hi all – this ticket is private. Does it need to be private?
@jflory7 not sure, as my address is going to be listed for swag receiving, maybe it's better for it to be private
@nmilosev you can share you address with me directly, if htat would help you mark this ticket public.
Typically for release parties we send stickers, and sometimes pins or pens. Is this going to cause a problem?
@bex OK then, I will make the ticket public.
Not sure about your question. If you mean because of customs, I really do not know. They don't always follow all the rules, we got our packages for release parties before, but sometimes they can make an issue for the smallest things. By law, I am not allowed to "import" anything in greater quantity than one piece. For example, one time the package was returned because it had 20 pens in it and 20 pens is too much for one individual to import...
As for the package contents, please see my message above.
Thanks
Seems like I don't have the privileges (or don't see the option) to mark the issue public. @bex feel free to do so.
EDIT: Found it, nevermind.
