'1. & 2. of whom? The FrOSCon (Free and Open Source Software Conference) is organized by the University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, Computer Science department and the FrOSCon e.V.
'3. Computer scientists, software developers/engineers, free software/open source enthusiasts, related groups (major topics of this year's conference: https://www.froscon.org/en/cfp/ )
'4. 20th and 21st August 2022 ( https://www.froscon.org/en/info/ )
'5. Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg
Grantham-Allee 20
53757 Sankt Augustin
'6. 3-5 Fedora members at the booth. @bookwar @raphgro do you know how many participants the FrOSCon has on average?
'7. @bookwar I assume you have more experience with determining this? :)

  3. We'd like to get swag specifically for the FrOSCon conference, which is one of the largest gatherings in Germany for computer scientists, software developers/engineers, free software/open source enthusiasts, related groups (see https://www.froscon.org/en/cfp/ )

But we also would like to keep some swag in the area for future events in NRW (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany) under the umbrella of the NRW User Group (https://www.meetup.com/Fedora-User-Group-NRW/)

  4. 20th and 21st August 2022 ( https://www.froscon.org/en/info/ )

  5. Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg
    Grantham-Allee 20
    53757 Sankt Augustin
    (https://www.froscon.org/en/faq/#irfaq_37_87abf )

  6. 3-5 Fedora members at the booth. It was up to 1.500 participants in the pre-pandemic times. Hard to predict the participation this year.

  7. We need everything :)

I have some swags from previous times, but there is only a little bit left and it all has old Fedora logo. So we need to restock on new Fedora swag: pins, buttons, stickers, keyboard caps, Fedora Loves Python, and everything else. Some T-shirts and mugs would be nice for occasional long-term contributors.

And as I mentioned, things which we won't be able to distribute at the event, we will use later when we revive release parties in the area. Or even bring to Fedora Hatch event at OpenSUSE conf next year if it will be organized.

Well, I'm going to attend FrOScon hopefully. Maybe my talk will be accepted as well :)

ad 6. yes, I remember a number with four digits as well as @bookwar writes. Well, 2021 due to online only event that reports tells there were about 600 interested people, at least. Besides 50 talks and 10 workshops.

it's a big event, +1 to support it with swag

I'll be in Brno from 14 to !9 Aug and can pick up some stuff there if that helps with logistics.

But it would be much better to get it shipped in advance.

What can we do to speed up the process a bit?

It would be so much better to not wait for the delivery at the last possible moment :)

Well, it may be possible as well that I can take some swag as well bc I am going to give a talk on the conf :)
Don’t know, if this would help as well:)

Hi folks- we discussed this in the Mindshare meeting today and we are all +1 to send swag for this event. Please choose one person who will definitely be in attendance and open a swag-shipment request on the budget repo. Thanks for the enthusiasm and excitement for this event and growing the local community :D

@py0xc3 Maybe you can request the delivery to your place?

I can give my address in Dusseldorf, but since I will be traveling right before the Conf it can complicate things.

@bookwar Yes, no problem.

@riecatnor I would prefer to not post my private address on the Internet. Would it be possible to send it by non-public means ?

Hi @py0xc3 the budget repo allows for private tickets so it would not be public. I understand the hesitation tho, it would be ok to open the ticket with all the info except the address (this helps us track these requests) and then send your address directly to me by email (mnordin at redhat dot com). Thanks!

To keep the issue transparent, I made a public request at https://pagure.io/fedora-budget/issue/203 and sent you the address by email!

Let me know if you need further information.

Thanks for the support & stay safe!

@riecatnor is there already some news about the shipment?

Hey @py0xc3 & all! Yes, I have put in requests from the Cool Stuff Store as well as Red Hat's Brno fulfillment center. As requested, I sent plenty of swag for this event and future events. Drop a comment once you receive the two shipments. Please take pictures at the event, looking forward to event reports :)

Today, I have received the first shipment from the US (two pieces).

The second shipment (from Brno) is scheduled for Monday. I'll let you know once it has arrived.

Thanks for your support!

I have Just received the second shipment from Brno. 1 piece. Ticket can be closed.

Awesome, glad to hear it @py0xc3 !

@andilinux @bookwar and the others who will be attending FROSCon representing Fedora- we look forward to an event report via the CommBlog or Discussion.fpo :)
