As you know, Linux Fest Northwest was cancelled for 2020. Per https://pagure.io/mindshare/issue/179, we all agreed to allow 2020 sponsorship to transfer to 2021. Well, the 2021 event is cancelled for this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bill Wright has given us two options. We can request a reimbursement of the $750, or allow it to go as a donation to LFNW. The $750 is tax deductible.
Please let me know how to respond to Bill Wright.
Last year, LFNW had a virtual event. I did not participate due to issues with health and family. This year, LFNW is not have either a live or a virtual event.
Additional info:
Additional information: Hi Jeff,
Due to Covid-19 pandemic issues we are not able to have an event this year.
I've been authorized to offer Fedora a refund of your sponsorship donation while also reminding you that LinuxFest Northwest is a 501(c)3 organization and your donation is fully tax deductible for 2020 if you so choose.
Please let me know your choice of refund or donation.
We are hoping to still have an event in 2022 if public health restraints permit and will keep you notified.
Thank you for your support,
Bill Wright LinuxFest Northwest (a 501c3) https://lfnw.org cell 360 7398127
