Swag Only Request

Hello Y'all

I understand that Fedora will not have a official presence at Texas Linux Fest in May. However I will be attending as a Presenter with a talk that will involve Fedora Toolbox. I would like to represent Fedora and hand out Swag to the attendees.

  • All fields are required.

  • Ryan W Walter

  • rwaltr
  • Linux users inside of Texas that are leaning Fedora Toolbox, Gitlab, Git and Hugo.
  • May 1st - 2nd
  • Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78704
  • Estimated Number of People - I do not have an official number of the entire event. I may have up to a group of about 100 individuals attending my presentation, This is also an overestimate.
  • Stickers and other small items, If there are any Fedora Silverblue, Podman, or Fedora Toolbox swag those would be preferred.

Let me know if you have any questions.

@riecatnor In the light of recent development, we do restrict om funding only or swags as well?

+1 (if swag is not restricted)

+1 but possible restriction may apply in near Future

Regards.,

hi @rwaltr I am also +1 to swag.

Discussing this in our meeting, we were somewhat surprised the event is still happening. Based on current events surround COVID-19, we would like to wait until our 4/8 meeting to make the final approval and send the swag out. If you could provide an update(whether the event is still happening or cancelled) in a couple weeks that would be great.

Hello @riecatnor

Sounds good to me. Currently TXLF has not made any public announcements about their status as of Covid-19, COVID-19 has been rather quiet in the Austin Area until last weekend. Cases has went from 2 to 23 over the weekend. I imagine an update will be coming out soon as the city government and events in the area view the situation. I will update as I hear more.

Hello All,

I have recently received news that TXLF will be turning into a virtual event. I am going to mark this issue as closed since the event will no longer have a physical presence.

Thank you for your generosity. Hopefully next year will not be as hectic.

Regards,
