#178 Funding for travel costs to Fosdem
Closed: Complete 4 years ago by riecatnor. Opened 4 years ago by jibecfed.

In the funding request to migrate the fedora community to Weblate, I wrote "to animate a cross projects discussion on our needs and requirements" (see https://pagure.io/Fedora-Council/tickets/issue/268)

The item was accepted by FCAIC (at the time, bex), and I reached Document foundation, OpenSuse and Weblate company about an opportunity to meet at Fosdem. Document foundation said yes, OpenSuse was less clear about it.

Weblate team organize a meetup of Weblate users https://fosdem.org/2020/schedule/event/bof_weblate/

I'd like to attend it and invite again Document foundation and OpenSuse to attend.
Attending it for a day, means a little more than 200 € in transportation in train from Strasbourg to the venue.

Would that be an acceptable?

+1 it's reasonable for me

I think is a good option to keep in touch with Weblate Members Team, see how this project works and have a good idea of the goals that this project has in a near future...

+1

Regards.,

thank you. Document foundation and OpenSuse community members related to Weblate usage+administration confirmed they will attend this meeting.

I would like not to write a dedicated event report/
Writing an article about cross project collaboration would only talk about shared ideas and not much concrete to really share to "the world". Writing an email to translation mailing list for such content would make more sense to me.

What I did directly related to this event, I announced the list of priorities:
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/trans@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/4LARZCL2O5QX77MB5A3GF2RQI74ZF66C/

I obtained from Weblate dev during FOSDEM to see one of them fixed and will be included in next release:
https://github.com/WeblateOrg/weblate/issues/3369

I wrote an article about migration progress:
https://communityblog.fedoraproject.org/?p=8581&preview=1&_ppp=15ab643d08

Is that fine for you?
