I'm interested in the title of your talk and how it relates to Fedora. Can you give us a little more detail, please?

The name of the workshop is:
how to collaborate with the Fedora project from scratch.
10 to 17 hrs, on September 15

We will have the participation of the teammate Alejandro Callejas Fas: darkaxl017 Twitter: @dark_axl. The invitation to the event is given thanks to the work of the initiative https://www.meetup.com/es/Fedora-Mexico/
With this participation we aim to make more people familiar with the use of Fedora and the project in general.
We seek to attract new users, registered collaborators who can contribute and help the Fedora project.

The topics we will discuss are

  • what is the Fedora project?
  • How to create your account in FAS?
-Tell us who you are, create an entry with data of interest related to your user on Fedora Wiki "
  • Explain the Interest Groups.
  • Within the activities to which we have referred to make a link with a fellow ambassador in Fedora Join.

We observe that in Mexico, free software events are scarce, for this reason it is very important for our participation, in the search to collaborate and learn from many other projects present at the event.

Looks good to me... I'm voting +1

The ccoss it's a great initiative maybe the next we can be sponsors

How large will the workshop itself be? Do we have a booth or table? (asking for swag reasons) - We need to try to get it shipped ASAP as this ticket was submitted inside of the shipping window.

@nb and @codeblock please vote so this doesn't have to sit for the full 7 days. If you have concerns, please raise them ASAP.

We have some swag in Mexico from previous tickets (mostly Latam and fedora Pins and stickers), I think its enough to cover the event.

As far I know we don't have stand or table outside the workshop (are reserved for sponsors). It's that correct? @srkraken,@darkaxl017

That's right @bt0dotninja , only the sponsors have a table or a booth. It's the first year that this congress is held, the following year it could be very beneficial for us to be sponsors of the event. Around 1500 attendees are expected.
I think we have enough swag, but we are thinking about some small detail, such as making some shirts for us and a few promotional cups (5-10) for those who do the whole workshop and contribute to the project. But all within the budget that @srkraken and I calculate.

I'd prefer to see us NOT print a small batch of shirts. Almost everywhere in the world the quality and result is suboptimal and expensive. Why don't you all wear your ambassador Polos?

Also, if we are making anything with the logo on it - we need to get it approved by design ASAP

We don't have ambassador polos :crying_cat_face:

But it's true, everything then use the fedora logo needs the design consent.

Maybe we can use some ready for use designs like I  Fedora.

We can ship polos :) We need to know that we are ok to do that. I don't know how to do it other than to ask those who want them for this event to write in the ticket what their ambassador activities are and then to email me their EU shirt size.

I continue to believe that we should limit local printing as much as possible to guarantee quality. The prize cups are one thing - shirts are a different category for me.

Thanks @bex !! We will have the event report ready and on time. For polo shirts, I mail you our shirts sizes and shipping address.
