@siddharthvipul1 I am super happy to hear about the call for mentors in summer coding - we can definitely do more there!
I'd love to know more about what people asked about Silverblue and if it was motivated by curiousity or the likelihood of them using it as a daily driver?
Were the attendees mostly professionals? students? Red Hatters?
Silverblue session covered what is Fedora Silverblue, its features like rollback, atomic upgrade immutable host by having /usr as a read only FS. To make attendees motivated to use Silverblue, Sinny jumped to an actual demo and showed a lot of features on Silverblue(it was easy to demo as her host system was already Silverblue). She demonstrated how Silverblue system in first glance looks similar to a regular Gnome desktop. Later on, tracking layered packages, rollback when something goes wrong, rebase using rpm-ostree. She also showed cool features of toolbox, which is preinstalled and helps users to follow container workflow.. and some extra things as the audience kept asking questions like how to install and run flatpak application.
Quite a few were curious to use and we recommended them to try it out in a vm first and ask us (mainly Sinny) in case help needed.
Just 2 student, 6 professionals (not from Red Hat) and rest 10 consistent people were from Red Hat. We had extra (~10) RedHatters who came and stayed for a while (for specific topics).
Thank you!
