1) Just delete that option (if it exists) from opts. There is no need to send it to server
2) Mention in help that topdir tops the topurl
3) Remove default from the point where it is. In case both options are used raise an error. In case no topdir nor topurl is used, use the default.

It should help with the confusing usage.
