Presently as you know, we have liberation-2 and liberation 1.07.4. i am maintaining both in single git repo. [1]
I am thinking to create different project for liberation2, reasons as follows
One can obsolete to other.
In Fedora we will have both packages liberation2-fonts and liberation-fonts
Let me know - feedback and suggestions. Copr for liberation2 [2]
We had little discussion in the meeting. Everyone was positive for splitting from long term perspective it is good.
https://pagure.io/liberation-classic-fonts is available now and Liberation 2 is in current git repo. https://pagure.io/liberation-fonts
This is done now. Next task for this workdone is to package these separate projects as rpms in Fedora.
Metadata Update from @pnemade: - Issue assigned to pravins - Issue close_status updated to: Fixed - Issue status updated to: Closed (was: Open)
Could an upstream release be made or does that require more work?
Tasks: 1. Font name changing required in all .sfd file in https://pagure.io/liberation-classic-fonts. After that we can release it. 2. Good to do new release for https://pagure.io/liberation-fonts as well, since few bug fixes are in git but not available in Fedora.
