"component-version" was already supported, but the piece regarding the resultsdb-consumer wasn't working properly (it was working for the API, but not for the consumer because we just forgot to change it when we introduced some time ago).

I would explain this a bit more. And specify that this refers to the feature "RemoteRule" and usually we explain this a bit, because not everyone is familiar with it. You can find an example definition in the release 0.9.8: improved the RemoteRule feature, that allows the user to define additional policies directly in the dist-git repo using a gating.yaml file.

maybe also here explain what RemoteRule is... since it's for a previous release...
