First part done: https://fedora.zanata.org/language/view/fil/
ok, FAS account is @aabuke :)
Alvin is now the Filipino team coordinator in Zanata.
Hi piotrdrag, aabuke :( sorry for the very late response.
i had to read and learn to get me started with the new environment w/c i should have done a few months back, me bad.
thanks everyone for your understanding and including me in this initiative.
Regards!
@aabuke, can you please:
I do invite you to try to find a friend to help you, and not to rush, there is a tremendous amount of work to do :) Little by little, you'll be able to translate more and more things and will just have update to do.
Would you like us to write a message in community blog to advertise this new feature? Do you know any local linux or free software team using this language that we may inform of this?
Can we also add fil to the list of languages in package groups? If you click any group Filipino is not there. Actually there are 100 languages supported in Zanata but each group has only 98 languages. So Filipino is missing and one more language as well.
Thanks for the reminder. I added Filipino to groups. The 100th language is US English, which we don’t want to translate to. :)
Hi jibecfed,
Yes, a mailing list for fil language would be great. Yes, a "fil" language component in bugzilla.redhat.com Yes, I could translate Filipino language in zanata, I will prepare my unit for this. Yes, I have begun recruiting a few friends that can help me with this initiative. Yes, please do write a message in community blog to advertise this new feature?
I did some reading, I think there's "bayanihan linux,", www.bayanihan.gov.ph/
Thank you for our help and for being very patient. Appreciate it!
As the next step we should add Filipino language to system-config-language. The list of languages is hardcoded and must remain so. We can add Filipino to the list but only if at least one translated package is available. So we are waiting for at least one translation available. The patch to add the language is already here: https://pagure.io/system-config-language/issue/3.
system-config-language
