''' Workshop 1: High Availability with Fedora '''

(EN) The planned or unplanned downtime not always are the result of poor maintenance of a system, but a poor design of this architecture. Usually this downtime of a service can't be avoided by setting up a poorly designed system but can be improved using high-availability solutions using free software of Fedora.

''' Workshop 2: Cloud computing using Openshift '''
- Description:

(EN) OpenShift is a cloud computing platform as a service product from Red Hat. In this cloud our developers can use Git to deploy web applications in different languages on the platform, also supports some binary programs and allows the use of arbitrary frameworks. OpenShift takes care of maintaining the services underlying the application and scaling the application as needed. Building apps just got easier — we've got one click deploys of Drupal, Wordpress, the JBoss Kitchensink quickstart, and Ruby on Rails for you to try. Building this applications involves lots of questions and this presentation try to response in a faster way.

Please, I need news about this. A few weeks ago I tried to obtain founds directly to Red Hat, without news. I can pay half of my travel, and I could buy my ticket right now with my own pocket, but I need a confirm of reimbursement at least. I see myself as the only speaker that has nothing confirmed!

In other hand, I see a important number of votes in my lectures. How important is this for confirm the sponsorship?

Thank you for understanding.

Antonio -

I asked about getting some internal sponsorship $ for your ticket earlier today (after a lot of other discussions regarding the ownership and responsiblity for such requests), I should get an answer tomorrow morning. Will report back. Yell at me if I don't :)

I have located some funding for your plane ticket internally. You can either book the flight and we can paypal you back, or you can contact either Ruth (who is out next week), Leslie Hawthorn, or myself and we can buy the ticket directly. Ruth and Leslie are both cc'd on this ticket. We'll just need the normal information (birthday, passport #, address, etc). LMK if you have questions.

And if the ticket price has vastly changed and you plan on just getting paypal back plz let me know :)

Super! I will buy my ticket as soon as possible! [[BR]]
Right now, flights to Valencia are very expensive, more than 200% in comparation. I will try to find something cheaper or at least lower to US$1K!

I give you news soon.[[BR]]
Really, really thanks a lot Robyn!

Okay. I think I said it would be around 750-900, based on some of the previous quotes, so if it is way more than that, just give me a heads-up.

Airtickets for this dates are around 1.1K and 1.3K. August is peak season in Venezuela (spring break).
I will try to find again, if I find something in that range I buy it immediately.

Not really Antonio, we already agreed that people can arrive to Caracas and reduce costs

This was discuss at least 6 meetings ago

Yes, I read it and I bought a ticket to caracas.

I am cleaning up the track. if necessary please reopen.

Best Regards!
