If I manually remove the GC instance setup using, ipa -e in_server=True console from ipaserver.install.gc import uninstall from ipalib import sysrestore from ipaplatform.paths import paths uninstall(sysrestore.FileStore(paths.SYSRESTORE)) After this removal dns records for GC are still present.
ipa -e in_server=True console
from ipaserver.install.gc import uninstall
from ipalib import sysrestore
from ipaplatform.paths import paths
uninstall(sysrestore.FileStore(paths.SYSRESTORE))
