The test is still failing (not consistently), with a crash in 389-ds. See BZ https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1633089
Upstream 389-ds issue 49972 is now closed as fixed in master and 389-ds-base-1.3.9 branch. When the fix is released in a version, we need to bump Requires for 389-ds-base.
The fix is now available in 389-ds 1.4.0.21 (see the 389-announce email) available on Fedora 28 and 29, and in 389-ds 1.4.1.1 (see the 389-announce email) available on Fedora 30.
