#7273 Topology information available for issue debugging
Opened 6 years ago by pvoborni. Modified 6 years ago

As a person investigating issue which happened in IPA environment such as:

  • replication issues
  • failure of replica installation
  • advising on restoring IPA from backup
  • failure on upgrade
  • and possibly others

I want topology information available, e.g. in logs. This info can be dumped there e.g. as part of:

  • ipa-replica-install
  • ipactl start, ipactl restart
  • ipa-server-upgrade

So that the info can be easily readable from sources which are usually sent as part of help request (e.g. logs) without a need for asking them explicitly.

The relevant required info is equivalent to commands:

  • ipa topologysegment-find domain --all
  • ipa topologysegment-find ca --all
  • ipa topologysuffix-verify ca
  • ipa topologysuffix-verify domain
  • ipa server-find --all
