Ticket was cloned from Red Hat Bugzilla (product Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7): Bug 1484088
Description of problem: IPA web gui always redirect to https://server/ipa/ui/#/e/user/search when attempt to open any links in a new tab. For example, browse to Policy-> HBAC rules -> [the actual rule], then right click the rule and select "Open Link in New Tab", it will take you to https:/server/ipa/ui/#/e/user/search rather than displaying the actual rule information. This is a Request for Enhancement. It will be "nice to have". Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Can be easily reproduced. Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info: Often times it is useful to pop out an element (e.g. an hbac rule, or sudo rule) to view it while also comparing to other elements side-by-side (e.g. user's memberships to groups, sudo command groups, etc). To do this now, one must go to the other tab or window and retrace click-paths to get to the element you wish to view before returning to your original tab or window.
