#6654 ipa-replica-install: warn that domain level 1+ doesn't support replica files instead of client already installed error
Closed: wontfix 5 years ago by rcritten. Opened 7 years ago by mbasti.

ipa-replica-install with replica file on domain lvl 1+ suggest user to remove installed client (behavior of domain level 0) instead of warning that there should be no replica files used with domain level 1+

steps to reproduce
1. install master with domain level 1
1. install client on replica server
1. ipa-replica-install random.replica.file

ipa.ipapython.install.cli.install_tool(CompatServerReplicaInstall): ERROR IPA client is already configured on this system.
Please uninstall it first before configuring the replica, using 'ipa-client-install --uninstall'.

Expected:

For domain level >= 1 replica installation, first join the
domain by running ipa-client-install, then run
ipa-replica-install without a replica file.
