#5969 replica install: connection check does not distinguish between incorrect password and genuine network issue
Closed: Invalid None Opened 7 years ago by ftweedal.

When ipa-replica-prepare performs network check, if user enters incorrect
password, the error message is that network check failed. It is not clear
that user made an error.

IPA should report that password was incorrect.

WARNING: yacc table file version is out of date

Please fix your network settings according to error messages above.
If the check results are not valid it can be skipped with --skip-conncheck parameter.

Not related to #5965, AFAICT; this is just a UX nit.

Bugs for features domain level 0 get lower priority over bugs for domain level 1. Given that this is only a UX nit and newer method which doesn't suffer from this issue exists, the dev decided to close this bug as won't fix.
