More specific use case .

Let's say we have
Group1 has inside 500 user and 50 groups.

So would be nice to have duplicate button for group or users.

Workflow would be like this.

1. User select Group1
2. Then click on duplicate button.
3. In back code will copy all setting , attached user , attached groups to new Group2.
4. This will open dialog/form for editing Groups and prompt for save for example Group1-New will be added to group name
5. User can do cancel or save and create new group which has all settings from user Group2

Duplicate Group Future should only copy users from one group to new group easier to deploy.

Might make sense to allow other things to be selectively copied in future. But this might be a separate ticket.

Upstream is willing to accept patches for this feature. Given that it creates a new group of commands - a precedence, a design for the feature is required. See other designs for inspiration:
