#5478 IPA replica install does not show warning that A/AAAA records of replica are not resolvable
Closed: wontfix 5 years ago by rcritten. Opened 8 years ago by mbasti.

When resolvers are unreachable, replica install does not show warning that A/AAAA records of replica are not resolvable.

[root@replica1 ~]# dig replica1.ipa.test

; <<>> DiG 9.10.2-P4-RedHat-9.10.2-6.P4.fc22 <<>> replica1.ipa.test
;; global options: +cmd
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached

Expected message during installation:

ERROR Could not resolve hostname replica1.ipa.test using DNS. Clients may not function properly. Please check your DNS setup. (Note that this check queries IPA DNS directly and ignores /etc/hosts.)
