#5445 [RFE] CLI authentication using certificates
Closed: wontfix 5 years ago by rcritten. Opened 8 years ago by dpal.

As an admin I want to be able to log into IPA UI ( #6225) and CLI using certificates and not using Kerberos ( #4905). I already have my user certificate issued by a CA external to IPA. I have keys on my card. I want to be able to perform all required CLI operations using just my cert.
The client that I use to run browser from or CLI on should not be required to configure kerberos.

Web UI will be handled in #6225. In 4.5 CLI will be handled by pkinit #4905. I propose to change this ticket to CLI only without needing Kerberos and then move it to next feature release.
