I would like to have document how to remove master from topology with all required information in one place

It should cover:

  • basic topology 1 master, 2 replicas connected to master
  • describe differencies between master and replicas (IMO just mention CA and CRL master otherwise they are the same)
  • be sure replicas have CA installed
  • add connection between replicas (ipa-replica-manage, ipa-csreplica-manage)
  • set new CRL master http://www.freeipa.org/page/Howto/Promote_CA_to_Renewal_and_CRL_Master
  • backup master in any case
  • remove replication agreements to master (ipa-(cs)replica-manage)
  • remove master
  • identify possible issues
  • probably this will be different for topology plugin

IMO we have all documents, we just need to create something like summary/step by step page

Not a blocker for 4.3 release.
