#4878 ipa-replica-install does not configure ipa-ca on dual v4 v6 hosts correctly
Closed: Fixed None Opened 9 years ago by firstyear.

After using ipa-replica-install (which asks for a single ipv4 OR ipv6 address) the ipa-ca.domain.com record only has a single record added for the new host as specified on the command line. If the new host is dual v4/v6 this means that one of the addresses is missing from ipa-ca's record. IE if I specify the v4 address in ipa-replica-install, the v6 is not configured in ipa-ca.domain.com.

Ipa-replica-install needs to be capable of identifying and working with v4 and v6 rather than throwing the "multiple addresses detected" error that it currently does.

Discovered in 3.3.5 but may affect higher versions.

Given this is already fixed in FreeIPA 4.1, I am closing this ticket. Fixed in #3575 were pretty big and we do not plan to backport them to older FreeIPA 3.x versions. Thanks for understanding.
