#4485 [RFE] Allow users to provision service URLs to their mobile devices
Closed: wontfix 5 years ago Opened 9 years ago by dpal.

Use case

a. User has enrolled his device and has SSO gateway app on the mobile device.
b. User opens a page in the UI and selects a Kerberized service (or a subset of services) from the list of the services registered in IPA.
c. IPA UI presents a QR code for each of these services
d. User scans the QR code and service is added to the list of the services on his device.

The QR code would contain URL to the service and Icon. That means that there should probably be a way to:
a. Register (upload) icons for services
b. Fetch those icons from IPA in some way via an HTTP call

We plan to do that work, but it was not scheduled yet. As such, moving to Future Releases.

Related to FreeIPA Community Portal topic, moving to appropriate milestone.
