#4269 top-level pseudo-domain "home" for local DNS resolution of routers, modems and gateways
Closed: Duplicate None Opened 10 years ago by egberts.

Top-level pseudo-domain "home" for local DNS resolution are found in many modern routers, modems and gateways.

For example, mypc.home is a valid DNS name.

ipa-server-install is unable to assign an email address (admin@home) when specifying 'myipa.home' as its IPA hostname and 'home' for the domain name.

Can you try installing IPA server with different mail for the DNS admin? Would that help as a workaround?

ipa-server-install --help
...
--zonemgr=ZONEMGR DNS zone manager e-mail address. Defaults to
                        hostmaster@DOMAIN
...

This is same issue as #3412 and #3417.

Closing as duplicate to #3412.
