By default samba just use the hostname as NetBIOS name. If the hostname is longer than 15 characters this leads to an invalid NetBIOS name.
We already cut the hostname after 15 characters in the CLDAP plugin. In this case a 'netbios name' entry should be created in the samba configuration where the hostname is cut off as well.
