#4006 Send signal to SSSD if trusted domains are added or removed
Closed: Invalid None Opened 10 years ago by sbose.

This is the IPA part of SSSD ticket https://fedorahosted.org/sssd/ticket/2030.

To avoid looking up non-existing domains on the server again and again SSSD implements a timeout before the list of know domains is read from the server again. This might be a bit irritating when testing trusts because new users and groups might not be available immediately.

This can at least be solved on the server where to command to add or remove the trust was called by sending a signal to the local SSSD instance. Since SSSD is running as root this can only work if the ipa command call by the root user.

Upcoming version of SSSD might provide better interface for this task.

We decided not to fix it.
