#3812 [RFE] [Web UI] Indicate a doc string presence
Opened 10 years ago by pvoborni. Modified 6 years ago

Currently doc string is displayed as a textbox/radio button/... tooltip. The tooltip is the same as label for majority of fields. It's hard for user to notice the cases when they differs.

UI should indicate the presence of different doc string.

One of the usual ways is to show a question mark icon. Example: [UI]]([http://www.ui-alchemy.org/form|Alchemy)

3.4 development was shifted by one month, moving tickets to reflect reality better.

Adjusting time plan - 3.4 development was postponed as we focused on 3.3.x testing and stabilization.

Petr, please do as part of Common user experience effort.

As we discussed, as part of this ticket, I think we should go through our doc labels in API and clean them to have them only if it makes sense. If doc equals label it should be either removed or replaced with documentation if given field needs a documentation. This approach should be discussed on freeipa-devel though.

Moving unfinished November tickets to January.
