For #3567 which implements a plugin to expose POSIX attributes of trust users for old clients, a mechanism needs to be addded to allow authentication bind against LDAP with DN from the subtree to help with password-only logins (pam_ldap/old sssd)
Perhaps this extension could be added to password migration plugin, with a trigger that request coming to the virtual subtree corresponding to a trust would produce a re-bind against corresponding AD GC.
