#3452 [RFE] enable kerberos authentication in sshd_config
Closed: Invalid None Opened 11 years ago by hanb.

The default configuration file for at least fedora 18 has the option for kerberos authentication disabled. I know it's not required for linux hosts login in but for windows machines using putty it is. How this setting should be changed or only a warning should be given while running ipa-client-install I don't know. That's up for debate I think.

The ticket should go through a triage before putting it into a specific milestone.

I think you need to clarify what you mean by kerberos authentication and what your configuration is. Do you have trusts configured?

ipa-client-install configures the IPA provider which is more or less a combination of krb5 and LDAP (I'm over-simplifying).

If you are talking about the !KerberosAuthentication option, then sorry, this will not be fixed. See #2689 for more information.

Closing the ticket after discussing the issue with the reporter on IRC. We arranged a meeting to do some further investigation.
