Description of problem: Based on my understanding and google result, the only record types can go under reverse zone is "SOA" and "PTR". But current IPA implementation allows all records goes under reverse zone. This creates confusing for user. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): ipa-server-2.2.0-11.el6.i686 How reproducible: always Additional info: please check screenshot
Actually, all record types are allowed in DNS. We should not disallow them, just give a hint to user. SOA, PTR, NS and CNAME are pretty common in reverse zones.
I think item reordering in UI can be ideal compromise.
According to [http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2317|RFC2317] we can't limit reverse zones only to PTR records. I agree that PTR records should be on top of the list/user interface but other records should be available too.
