Description of problem: when create duplicate DNS Resource Record under DNS modification page, ipa reports : no modifications to be preformed It does make sense. But it would be better to report : record already exists. This issue applies generally to handling of the multi-value attributes.
See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=817166#c3, this is not something that can be easily fixed. Also, the error message clearly states there is nothing we can do, so the risk of users getting confused is too low to invest in counter measures.
