Closed: Fixed None Opened 12 years ago by jgalipea.

ipa-managed-entries man page is incorrect:

<snip>

OPTIONS
-d, --debug
Enable debug logging when more verbose output is needed

   -e, --entries
          DN for the Managed Entry Definition

   -l, --list
          List available Managed Entries

   -p DM_PASSWORD, --password=DM_PASSWORD
          The Directory Manager password to use for authentication

</snip>

--entries does not work.

ipa-managed-entries --entries="NGP Definition" status
Usage: ipa-managed-entries [options] <status|enable|disable>
ipa-managed-entries [options]

ipa-managed-entries: error: no such option: --entries

ipa-managed-entries --help

Usage: ipa-managed-entries [options] <status|enable|disable>
ipa-managed-entries [options]

Options:
-h, --help show this help message and exit
-d, --debug Display debugging information about the update(s)
-e MANAGED_ENTRY, --entry=MANAGED_ENTRY
DN for the Managed Entry Definition
-l, --list DN for the Managed Entry Definition
-p DIRMAN_PASSWORD, --password=DIRMAN_PASSWORD

--realm=REALM Override default IPA realm

The option is "--entry".

version :: freeipa-server-2.1.4-2.fc16.x86_64

This does not need a RHEL bugzilla but RHEL should have an [RFE] ipa-managed-entries ... so qe will cover it and documentation with doc it.
if you look at the help (which you would not know there was a switch for) ..
