#2152 NFS with IPA does not work on Mac
Closed: invalid 2 years ago by rcritten. Opened 12 years ago by dpal.

No Description Provided

Tested on mac os 10.5

/etc/krb5.keytab has appropriate nfs/<mac hostname> principals

# showmount -e ipaserver.example.com
Exports list on ipaserver.example.com:
/nfs gss/krb5

Mounting the nfs4 mount:

# mount_nfs -o vers=4.0alpha,sec=krb5 ipaserver.example.com:/nfs /mnt/
mount_nfs: /mnt: Authentication error

/var/log/system.log shows:

Dec 2 10:51:03 macmini kernel[0]: nfs_gss_clnt_gssd_upcall: gssd port not valid
Dec 2 10:51:03 macmini kernel[0]: nfs4_setclientid failed, 80

From the thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3189202?start=0&tstart=0 it seems that it is known issue with mac os

There doesn't seem to be anything for us to fix on the IPA side. We only provide the maps for autofs, not full NFS support.
