#1984 Enhance ipa-replica-conncheck to report DNS failures
Closed: Fixed None Opened 12 years ago by rcritten.

Cloned Bugzilla: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=766077

I haven't delved into the details of what is going on yet but here is what I did:

- install ipa-server with DNS
- add an A and PTR record for a replica
- ipa-replica-prepare replica
- on replica install
- on master: ipa-replica-manage del replica
- on replica try to re-install

The reinstall will fail from the remote side with all services failing. The reason is because removing the replication agreement removes the host from DNS so the conncheck fails. We should resolve the hostname before doing the conncheck.

Patch freeipa-mkosek-184-add-dns-check-to-conncheck-port-probe.patch sent for review
