The UI should be localizable. We need to be able to create a set of the strings for translation and easily use different languages on the screen depending on locale/preferences.
Pavel investigate a dettext library for Javascript a bit. This investigation should be continued and gettext library should be integrated or an alternative approach should be found and implemented.
This is required for I18N
We are going to put all strings into the metadata plugin and use one mechanism for I18N. It makes it slightly harder for the web UI (you have to change the server) but it will greatly simplify the workflow for getting things translated.
