In order to establish continuous testing of our trusted domain work we should expand the default samba passdb backend "tdbsam" to support trusted domains as well. Currently extended trusted domain support is only available in the ipasam backend.
That way we would improve stability (and avoid regressions!) of our ongoing work from early on. Every commit to upstream samba trees needs to successfully complete the samba testsuites and in that testplan we currently cannot activate trusted domain tests due to the lack of support in the default passdb backend.
