Playing video games on GNU/Linux has never been as mainstream as it is now, and it would be fun to know how well Fedora Workstation fares when the modern AAA titles are thrown at it. This talk would be about detailed analyses, deeper benchmarks and unforgiving comparisons against popular platforms.
This talk is a follow-up to the one we had during Fedora Linux 36 Release Party and numerous articles on Fedora Magazine - A Case Study of Control (2019) and A Case Study of Far Cry 5 (2018). We would be testing new video games against Fedora Workstation 36 and comparing their performance metrics.
This talk is assured to be interesting for not only the existing Fedora Workstation users but also those who are interested to use GNU/Linux distributions as their platform of choice for video gaming. Therefore, this talk can potentially help showcase Fedora Workstation and by that, bring new users into the ecosystem.

I like the idea, and enjoyed your F36 Release Party session, but what's the contributor angle? That's important for Nest.
True. As of now, the ways with which we can incentivize contributions is by testing video games and sharing tweaks/configurations that might be needed for running the said games on Fedora Linux. We plan on covering these during the talk.
At this time, your proposed session is under consideration for this year's Nest with Fedora event. The CfP review team have the following comments/suggestions to help improve your proposal, or make it more suitable for the audience we expect at Nest this year.
Please provide feedback based on these comments. We want to give everyone who submitted a proposal the opportunity to present at Nest if the content fits and there is still room in the schedule. Feel free to respond on this ticket.
If you have further questions or need assistance feel free to email mnordin (at) redhat (dot) com. Thanks again for your proposal!
No matter if your proposal is accepted or not, we hope you join Nest this year. Register here: https://hopin.com/events/nest-with-fedora-2022/registration
We have a handful of submissions about gaming. Would it be possible to consolidate your two proposals into one more contributor-focused talk?
Unfortunately, #375 and #376 are two distinct talks, albeit ones related to gaming, as #375 is more about explaining how the community can contribute to making Fedora Linux better for mainstream videogaming and #376 explores a lot of free and open-source video games that go unnoticed under the light of mainstream videogames.
Out of the two gaming sessions you proposed (#376 being the other), this one seems more suitable for Nest this year
I think so too. This has a direct contributor angle, while #376 has a remote one. The slot would be better utilised by some other talk which can benefit the community while we keep #376 for the probable mini-event that @mattdm proposed. I like to see that as an event when not only Fedora Linux but other FOSS videogames can grow.

Most certainly.
That sums up my feedback.
Thank you for your response to the feedback we provided.
