I'm not sure I'm fond of calling them "Silverblue variants". They're other rpm-ostree-based variants. Silverblue is something specific, not just "rpm-ostree-based Fedora Linux."

Agree this is not a good wording. Andi, how do you feel about:
New desktop environments for rpm-ostree based Fedora Spins

This is not great but have not found anything better yet.

I agree on "Silverblue variants". Maybe "rpm-ostree desktops"?

Also, I'd like to see coordination with #308 so there isn't overlap. Possibly run these both back-to-back?

@siosm @mattdm

I agree fully to your opinions bc this may lead to confusions and misunderstandings!
The title/subject can be changed to Rpm-OSTree desktops bc we have discussed it in Fedora Council what’s the best way to go on with the other desktops based on rpm-OSTree.

#308 is focused on the official Kinoite edition and its goal as part of the KDE SIG.
This one is about initiatives to add other desktop variants and the steps to get there.

I'll mostly take part to explain the process and the steps needed to get there as I won't be the one doing the work.

Hi @andilinux - Thank you for your submission!

Your session has not been accepted in the first pass on creating the schedule. We are open to having this session at Nest, so if you would, please review the following Wiki link and let me know if there is a place you think it would fit in that works for your availability. The schedule will be locked by Friday July 30th. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Nest_with_Fedora_2021_Schedule

If you have further questions or need assistance, feel free to email mnordin@redhat.com or drop those inquiries on this ticket. Thanks!

If this is about timing, I don't strictly need to be in the room so this can happen on Saturday for example if that's fine for Andy

Hi there!

It isn't strictly about timing, we are trying to keep the content load moderate so that people are interacting as much as possible. It didn't fit into the first very evenly laid out schedule :) but the review team would like to fit it in still if possible.

I added it in after the Kinoite talk per @mattdm suggestion- does that timing work for you both?

For me Saturday would work fine ;)

The proposed time slot on Firday would work as well;) How about u @siosm ?

Works for me. We will try to keep it light on content to foster discussion

Unfortunately due to some unplanned changes on my side, I won't be able to speak for this talk. I've talked with Andi and we've decided to cancel it for this time and we will make this a community discussion at some other time.

Thanks and sorry for the trouble and for the short delay.
