Flatpak is a next-generation technology for building and distributing desktop applications across various Linux distributions. The Fedora Project has its own Flatpak repository with applications built from the existing RPM packages produced by the Fedora community, as well as a Fedora runtime, which is synchronized with Fedora releases and their lifetimes. This talk presents the current state of the Fedora Flatpak ecosystem and discusses some of our future plans for bringing Flatpak applications to Red Hat Enterprise Linux users, with a special focus on building a stable and long-term maintained runtime that can be attractive for developers to base their applications on.
