As one of the CPython maintainers in Fedora, I'd like to propose a a meetup of python-SIG members and for whoever else is interested in the python side of things on Fedora, for discussing the latest developments on that space, both upstream and downstream. The purpose of this workshop is to promote discussions between contributors, solve questions, propose solutions to potential issues, receive feedback etc. Agenda (not restricted to these topics): Latest developments in packaging guidelines, new tips and tricks. Python 3.7 for Fedora 29. Finalizing the Python 3 transition. Phasing out Python 2. Alternative interpreters. Contributing upstream. And whatever else might come up during the discussions.
Who needs to be in the room for this to succeed? List each person by Name and FAS ID as Name (FAS ID) Everyone who is interested on the python side of Fedora, users and contributors alike.
Is this a * Workshop of 2 hours
Anything else we need to know? This could be room setup, A/V needs, etc.
Since this will be a community workshop, with the aim to promote discussions between the contributors, no special equipment is required.
