Ansible is so awesome, that you can use it to perform so many different tasks. In our case, it would be building a container image. We will create an Ansible playbook and utilize buildah to do that. Buildah is a simple tool which creates container images — no daemons will be involved: only Ansible, buildah and runc. Interested? Come and learn more about a different way to create container images. Expected audience is DevOps engineers who deploy containerized applications to production. I expect that Ansible users will be interested in this. Nowadays most of the industry is using dockerfiles to create container images. This presentation provides an alternative to this solution when users can use the tools they already know and use, Ansible, to create container images.
Who needs to be in the room for this to succeed? List each person by Name and FAS ID as Name (FAS ID) * Everyone who is interested in deploying containerized applications and services.
Is this a … (Delete all that DO NOT apply) * Talk of 60 minutes (if desired, I can do a workshop).
Anything else we need to know? No.
Who are you? * Name: Tomas Tomecek * FAS ID: ttomecek
@ttomecek The CfP Committee would like it made clearer what you intend to do.

My preference is to do a 60-minutes long talk. On the other hand, this is a practical topic. If the committee wishes, I would be able to do a workshop.
Updating my proposal then.
Right now, we have a layered image build service which is based around dockerfiles. Is there a plan related to this talk to extend Fedora's OSBS to use ansible and buildah?
No. This talk will showcase how ansible and buildah can be used together. What are the benefits of such solution, I'll also present technical details and provide a bunch of examples. This talk is essentially a spoken version of this blog post of mine.
Based on the feedback, it may be possible to discuss possible integration into OSBS.
I regret that we are unable to accept this talk this year. There will be lightning talk sessions and I encourage you to consider this option.
