#181 [Hack-full] Fedora Magazine: 2020+
Opened 2 months ago by pfrields. Modified a month ago

= Questions/Requested Information

  1. What is your proposal?

During this hackfest, we'll move the Fedora Magazine to a service platform as agreed by the editors, and do all the setup/configuration needed to get that platform ready for publication after Flock, including plugins, theming, backups, and enhancements. (NOTE: It may be possible to achieve these goals in a half-day, but the scope of work is likely to change based on uncontrollable factors like size/portability of data.)

  1. Who in addition to the speaker needs to be in the room for this to succeed? This could be the audience you need to reach, other participants in the conversation, or other stakeholders.

List each person by their name and FAS ID, as shown below:

  • Adam Šamalík (asamalik)
  • [optional] Ryan Lerch (rlerch)
  • [optional] Clément Verna (cverna)

NOTE: This hackfest may be open to remote participation due to its nature.

  1. Is this a…
  • FAD/Hackfest that lasts a full-day
  1. Anything else we need to know?

Probably not, but questions are welcome.

  1. Who are you?
  • Name: Paul W. Frields
  • FAS ID: pfrields
  • IRC Nick, if not FAS ID: stickster

@pfrields — given the work we're doing with @jasonbrooks , do we still need a hackfest at Flock?

It wasn't clear when I put this in that we'd be able to progress that work outside the small group that works on Magazine. But clearly @jasonbrooks is contributing a lot here, and we may not need this time after all, especially if it consumes scarce time blocks for other hackfests.

Let us know Real Soon, please. :)

Magazine team: do you still want this time?
