1. What is your proposal?

I would like to organize a karaoke party for an evening event at Flock. I did one in 2008 and it went OK, minus a few roadbumps (see below).
I'll bring my laptop with the software (it's opensource), songs and a couple microphones.
It can last for as long as the room stays open. Midnight would be great, more is possible, and I'll accomodate with less.

1. Who in addition to the speaker needs to be in the room for this to succeed? This could be the audience you need to reach, other participants in the conversation, or other stakeholders.

At least 3 people I'd say, but noone in particular. No singing skills needed, just a desire to sing.

I will need the following:

• a dedicated room (this can be one of the conference rooms)
• a videoprojector with HDMI input
• a sound system I can plug into (please tell me which plug I'll need, I have tons of adapters but I'd rather not bring them all on the plane)
• if it's possible to turn off some of the lights in the room, it'd be great. Some nice lighting would definitely be a plus if we have some available already.
• snacks and drinks depending on the timeslot
