#15 [Talk] Creating an Amazon EKS cluster with Worker Nodes built on Fedora
Closed 5 years ago Opened 5 years ago by davdunc.

This talk is a review of the process of using Ansible and AWS Cloudformation templates as a common guide through building and using Fedora worker nodes with Amazon EKS. After walking through key decisions and components of the configuration process, I will demonstrate how to deploy the cluster and what it looks like to deploy a kubernetes sample application. Once the lab is completed, we will review and use Ansible playbooks to clean up all of the services, applications, and content.

@davdunc The CfP committee likes the ideas in this talk, however it seems a bit user focused. Can it be pivoted more toward Fedora Contributors?

I see your point and I think it can be targeted towards building Fedora workloads on Fedora Containers in the Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service. I propose building out and executing the tests from a cloud image testing day suite in an automated fashion.

I regret that we are unable to accept this talk this year. There will be lightning talk sessions and I encourage you to consider this option.
