= Questions/Requested Information

  1. What is your proposal?
    * State of Fedora Security:
    Last year at flock I attempted to reboot the Fedora Security Team with several initiatives and projects. This talk discusses:

    • Progress on these initiatives, Have they really made fedora more secure today?
    • Lesson learnt from trying to implement disruptive changes in fedora - Talk about successes and failures
    • Plans for next year, what else we want to do:
      • Talk about Fedora Container security.
      • Using fedora package-review tool to scan for security issues.
      • Push security updates to our customers faster.
    • And, generally discuss with contributors what else we can do.
  2. Who in addition to the speaker needs to be in the room for this to succeed? This could be the audience you need to reach, other participants in the conversation, or other stakeholders.
    - Any one interested in Security in general

  3. Is this a…
    * 25/50 minutes: Talk

  4. Anything else we need to know?
    This could be room setup, A/V needs, etc.

  5. Who are you?

  • Name: Huzaifa Sidhpurwala
  • FAS ID: huzaifas
  • IRC Nick, if not FAS ID:

I also plan to show a demo of the latest fedora-security dashboard project which bojov has been working on.

Red Hat Product Security has modified the Fedora Package Review tool, to do security reviews of new packages. I intend to show a demo of this as well. So two demos:

  1. Fedora security dashboard.
  2. Fedora Security Review tool.

As maintainer of FedoraReview, this is news to me, and I'm interested in this!

This is an interesting talk/discussion. I think doing an yearly assessment and review of our initiatives will certainly be helpful.

+1

I think this is important topic and I like to attend this. I also do packages reviews in Fedora so interested how and what different security things can be checked manually or automatically by writing plugins for fedora-review. +1 for this talk

I find the topic very interesting.

I am interested in this talk. +1

Are you proposing a 25 or a 50 minute talk?

Are you proposing a 25 or a 50 minute talk?

50 minute is preferable please, since i have 2 demos to show!
