The feature page says: particular for setups with low entropy such as servers or virtual machines. Is it valuable also for Desktop as default?
Does this package install by default in some major group like Base or what we would call groups after "rework of groups" will be finished?
It's a default package in Base at the moment.
Ok, if it's installed, then it should be on by default.

It is still valuable on desktops, it is just not as drastic of an improvement as it is on servers or VMs simply because the baseline is better (desktops have more user interactions, therefore more entropic noise.)
