We should probably try to come up with a policy to fast-track the non-responsive maintainer process. Will post link to mailing list thread when redhat.com is available again.
I think our policy already covers this:
"If there is no known way of contacting the former maintainer, or he is not willing to make the required change in the packagedb, one can short-circuit the normal 3 week interval required in the Outline steps 1 to 3, and make the formal request to orphan mentioned in step 4. "

So, I would say we allow mdomsch to take over the package.
Paul F. Johnson [paul@all-the-johnsons.co.uk], FAS pfj, has volunteered to maintain mx. I'd like to see pyOpenSSL orphaned so a loving owner can take it on. By this week's FESCo meeting, the 3-day objection period will have passed, so a single +1 from a FESCo member can make this so.
+1 from me... lets get those fixed up.
Note that Paul also said he will take pyOpenSSL as well.
